I love Portishead where I live, I also split my time between here and ​Denmark where my better half lives. The Danes sure know a thing or two about design.

Career beginnings - Moxley Jenner

My first job was at the influential architects  Moxley Jenner and Partners in King Street Bristol. The firm was headed up by Mike Jenner, a charming character who loved Bristol and it's mix of buildings. He was a modernist who assisted in the design of the Iconic Beacon Tower (formerly Colston Tower) in Bristol. He staunchly defended new thinking in terms of design including the then futuristic Spectrum Building (I still love this building).

​He went on to become a much loved TV star, writing and presenting 53 programmes about towns in the South West of the UK.

It was from here I began my career in design and architecture as an Architectural Technician. I attended Brunel Technical College and gained qualifications in Building Construction. Alongside this I always had an interest in photography and was able to gain lots of experience within my role.

JP Sturge, King Sturge, Jones Lang LaSalle, JLL

I later moved on to JP Sturge, Property Consultants (now known as JLL). Spending 36 years here I was involved in many architectural projects from initial concept design right through to completion. 

During the last 20 years I became more involved in Corporate marketing and graphic design within JLL, putting together large client facing presentations throughout the country. 

Some of you may have heard of or attended: The South West Review, Big 6 and Property Predictions amongst many others.

I have valuable experience in all aspects of design architecturally, within marketing, graphic design, video and photography.
